Family Business
SHAR is a family owned business, founded by Michael Avsharian, Sr. in 1962. His sons, Michael Avsharian, Jr., our Executive Vice President, and Charles Avsharian, our CEO, continue to remain active in the business today. Both are active string teachers and accomplished musicians as well. Michael Jr. attended the Juilliard School of Music and Charles attended the Curtis Institute of Music.
