Surendra Ramdehal - Store Manager Surendra Ramdehal is a producer/engineer/multi-instrumentalist(Keys, Tablas, Dholak, Harmonium, Guitar). He is from a family of musicians and has been a part of his family band for over 25 years. Surendra has performed and produced music primarily in the Indo-Caribbean space(Bollywood Pop, Indian Folk, Chutney, Soca, Reggae). He has performed in many cities in the US, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, and London. He also performed with renowned indian artists: Shri Hari Om Sharan, Sudesh Bhosle, Manna Dey, Manhar Udhas). He has also recorded multi-platinum indian artist, Shri Anoop Jalota. Surendra was a Biologist(cancer research, Cornell Medical Center, NYC) for 3 years. With his passion for music, he decided to change his career and become a music producer/audio engineer. In 1997, after graduating from the Institute of Audio Reseach(NYC), Surendra worked at Quad Recording Studios(NYC) as an assistant engineer for 2 years. In 1999 he went into business for himself as the owner/engineer for Swarangeet Studios(Queens, NY). During this time, Surendra began his career with Sam Ash Music(Feb 2000). He started out as a recording/keyboard sales associate in the Forest Hills, NY location. He also worked as an assistant manager in the Manhattan, NY location, and in the summer of 2005 he transferred to the Orlando, Colonial Dr location. He is still an active producer/engineer/performer and works out his private home studio. He is currently our Sales Manager and has been with Sam Ash for over 13 years. He enjoys being an active part of the Orlando music community, serving musicians.
