Randy Rumore - Store Manager I have been in the music retail business for over 40 years starting when I was in 7th. grade. The last 11 1/2 years at Sam Ash Music. During my carreer I have been featured on the cover of two of the Industries premier trade magazines. Musical Merchandise Review in July of 1988 and Music Inc. in November of 1992 while working at Paragon Music. I grew up and to this day still live in the West Tampa area of Tampa Florida. Even though I have never played professionally in a band I have been around music my entire life with drums and percussion being my instrument of choice. I also became interested in Live Audio and Pro Audio installation and became heavily involved with Church and Restaurant/ Lounge installs throughout Tampa Bay.Took drum lessons and jammed with friends and all my recorded heros wishing to be on stage like everyone else but the business side of music is where I stayed. I have also always been a sports fanatic having played Football and Baseball throughout my youth and through High School. To this day I remain an avid Golfer. My musical taste varies greatly as I have enjoyed many types of music my entire life. Tower of Power, The Beatles, Genesis, MoTown, 1960's era Rock n Roll are some of my favorites to name a few.Since I have always enjoyed drums and percussion I count among my musical gods David Garibaldi, ChesterThompson, Phil Collins, Buddy Rich and of course every Beatle! I also appreciate great singers and as odd as it may be Frank Sinatra and Steve Perry are two that stand out to me. As much as I love music I love being in the music business even more. Nothing is greater then helping people find the instrument of their dreams. To me Sam Ash is my Stage!
Dan Russo - Sales Manager I have been around Music and Sports my entire life. I played trumpet in the 6th. grade and this is where I was first introduced to reading and playing music. I was given an acoustic guitar when I was 12 and this is when I really fell in love with music. After self teaching myself the guitar I set my sights on what I always wanted. To take the place of Ace Frehley in KISS! I made a deal with my father to get me an electric guitar if I made the varsity football tam as a freshmanwhich I did. A pass rushing defensive end. They called me Gastineau after Mark Gastineau of the Jets because of my long hair. I started to learn other instruments to become as well rounded a player as I could. At 15 started my first band with KISS, Metallica, and the Beatles being my main influences. In 1993 I entered a lip sinc contest on 98 Rock with the winner getting to have lunch and meet with KISS! I beat out 2000 people and 30 contestants and won! I got to meet the Group I had idolized since the 2nd grade when I saw them on a lunch box. The world of working came calling so I started with a 100 store grocery chain. On to a Super Walmart and moved to Nashville. This was great being in music city. I wanted to come back to the Tampa area missing my family so I moved back and began playing in a band called Mainvain while looking for more work. Went to work for Best Buy. A friend went to work for Sam Ash and I was envious. In 2001 I got a chance to work for Sam Ash and I have been there ever since. I have risen from a sales Associate up through the ranks to now be the Sales Manager of one of the coolest music stores in the World. A lot has changed but two things remain the same. My love of all aspects of music both playing and selling and my love of KISS!
