A trained luthier, Ross Teigen studied at the respected lutherie program at Red Wing Technical College, which still trains students for careers in guitar building and repair today. Since moving to Florida in 1984, Ross has served the area as a recognized guitar and fretted instrument repair specialist.
Ross has also built over 200 custom instruments, incorporating his own designs and innovations. Currently, he focuses on repair and conservation of golden era vintage guitars including many pre-War Martin flat tops, Gibson acoustics and electrics, Fender electric guitars, and National and Dobro resonators.
In logging tens of thousands of hours of bench time on thousands of instruments, Teigen has built a reputation for exceptional work with prompt, professional, and reliable customer service. Ross’s son Jeffrey assists as an apprentice, learning standards and techniques. Their fully equipped shop facilitates the execution of the most demanding jobs, including that most important one: ensuring that you are delighted with your instrument.
