The Patel Conservatory is a state-of-the-art, three-story, 45,000 square-foot, waterfront facility located at the north end of the world-class David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida. The Patel Conservatory offers more than 100 performing arts classes in dance, theater and music for students of all ages and experience levels. Our instructors are passionate, working artists with extensive experience in their specific disciplines. Whether you are a parent seeking to introduce your child to the benefits of an education in the arts, or an adult who wants to hone your skills, we've got a place for you.

Patel Conservatory Music Department

The Patel Conservatory Music department offers classes, ensembles, and private lessons in vocal and instrumental music for students age two through adult. Master teachers, teaching artists and performers lead all areas of instruction to provide the finest music education for professionals, pre-professionals, music enthusiasts and community members. 

Classes and lessons meet throughout each of our sessions: school-year (fall-spring) and summer.

Vocal Arts Ensembles

Patel Conservatory’s Vocal Arts program includes youth choirs and ensembles for various ages and ranges of ability. Some ensembles require an audition.

Instrumental Ensembles

Patel Conservatory offers performance ensembles for instrumental students at a wide range of ability levels. Jazz Ensemble, Rock School, and Chamber Ensembles for various instruments. Most ensembles require an audition

Summer Classes & Camps

Summer session classes and camps are usually announced mid-February and registration is available beginning at our annual summer camp kick-off event “Campapalooza”.


Music workshops are held at various times throughout the year and feature guest artists or address a specific musical genre from Suzuki to jazz.
