Naples Park Music was founded in 1992 . We are a full service music store offering new and used instrument, lessons and quick onsite instrument repairs. Naples Park Music is member of Nabirt National association of Band Instrument Repair Technicians. We are located in Naples Park Plaza between 93rd and 94th Avenue.
Denny Scott, owner of Naples Park Music(www.rockabillyhall.com/Extra2.html) was named into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame (2002)for his guitar work that he did with Bill Haley’s Comets. Hits like “Rock a Round the Clock” (A number that started the rock invasion) to “See Ya Later Alligator” and “Shake Rattle and Roll” were just a few of the songs Denny would have played while on a 10 year tour with the group. After Bill’s death in the eighties, Denny was ask to join the group to help fill vigorous tour dates that still needed to be performed.Buddy Holleys Crickets were a common tour group with the Comets. The signature guitar solo to “Rock Around the Clock” and “Razzle Dazzle” were considered, to this day, as one of the greatest guitar solos, inspiring guitarist every where.
Denny was the guitarist to work with The John Lane and Al Rappa comets.
Denny has several new groups, a tribute rockabilly band,that tours and plays dates through out Southwest Florida playing the 50s,60s,70s, 80s music of today . Shows are a high energy dance band with songs that are performed from early Bill Haleys Comets days to the Stray Cats and other modern groups of the blues, southern rock, top 40, disco era.

After 20 years as a band director, Denny has retired from teaching school (2012) and dedicates his entire time to Naples Park Music and booking his groups.
Denny Scott helped to develop the music program and steel band in his 22 years as music director at Community School. He is one of the pioneers in offering steel band in middle and high school, a program now endorsed by the MENC: The National Association for Music Education. Dennis played guitar, banjo and mandolin for two years with the Naples Philharmonic under the direction of Erich Kunzel. Before relocating to Florida, Dennis performed with numerous Broadway shows such as West Side Story (with Rita Moreno), Hello Dolly and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He worked in Las Vegas backing Dolly Parton and Kenny Loggins and was the house guitarist for the show Andy Gibb and Marilyn MaGoo and the Solid Gold Dancers. Denny also worked as Music Director for Trump Plaza directing music shows such as Billy Hayleys Comets, the Supremes and Lou Rawls. He performed on national tours with Lee Greenwood, Reba McIntyre, Bobby Lewis ,Brian Hyland, Bo Diddly and The Drifters and spent two years playing for commercial jingles in Detroit. His most popular music class was the steel drum band,a 20 piece ensemble. He has his own steelpan band and does solo work as well. The latest most popular group as of today is the country rock Band Railhead.
