Miami Dade College - Department of Music, Theater, and Dance

At the Kendall Campus department of music, theater, and dance, your passion for expression takes center stage. Featuring a distinguished faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and ample performance opportunities, the department guides and develops the artistic, intellectual, and professional growth of its students.

Our program provides private instruction on all instruments. Department performing ensembles range from Renaissance to Rock groups providing performance opportunities in small combo groups, large choruses and concert bands. Performing groups have traveled throughout the continental US as well as Europe, South America and the Caribbean.

Music students transfer to universities such as Florida State University, Florida International University, University of Florida and the University of Miami, as well as out-of-state schools. Additionally, the music department maintains articulation agreements with Barry University and the prestigious Berklee College of Music. An MTD advisor can help you learn more about options for continuing your education. Kendall Campus transfer students have done very well at the upper division universities, as many of the local music teachers are former Kendall campus students.
