The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra engages and connects our community through music and enhances its visibility as a cultural center of interest, vitality and importance.
The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra is proud to be in its 4th season under the direction of Maestro Raffaele Ponti. The Orchestra attracts a roster of over 70+_statewide professional musicians, as well as world-renowned guest artists and has consistently performed for sold-out audiences in beautiful Punta Gorda’s Charlotte Performing Arts Center.
For the 2016 – 2017 season, the orchestra’s repertoire is again international in scope, including fresh offerings from contemporary composers and grand classical symphonic giants. Maestro Ponti has planned seven evening concerts and a new Sunday Matinee Series, as well as the annual Young Peoples’ Concert.
This season will also include expanded educational programs for music lovers from 8 to 108 through master classes, off-site performances, and Symphony Kids summer music camp.
