Centrally located in South Florida, the Academy serves the South Florida area including Davie, Cooper City, Sunshine Ranches, Weston, Pembroke Pines, Ft Lauderdale, Plantation, Miramar, Hollywood, Sunrise, Oakland Park, Hallandale, Wilton Manors, Lauderhill, and Lauderdale Lakes, etc., in the Broward Area and Dade and Palm Beach Counties.


The Suzuki Music Academy is the established regional center for classical music study for South Florida. The Academy has used the Suzuki Method to provide superior instruction for the children of South Florida since 1985. The Academy’s training program has proven to be effective for developing talent, discipline, and self-confidence. The program’s approach to formal instruction is designed to serve the whole child and to maximize the benefits that children receive from the study of classical music. In-house concerts along with performances at South Florida libraries, schools, and for cultural and community organizations enable Academy students to enjoy the experience of performing. The Academy is also home of the unique and remarkable program created exclusively for expectant parents and for parents of infants and toddlers – CLASSICAL MUSIC FROM AGE ZERO. Below is information about schedules tuition and fees followed by instruction for applying to the program. Visits to the Academy are by appointment only. After an application is reviewed, we contact parents of prospective students who have submitted an application and adults who have applied to join the adult class.   • We are not able to accept all who apply to join the program, due to great demand and limited number of class openings.
  • Enrollment is continuous.
  • Children of all ages, from as young as two years old, can begin formal classical music training.
  • Classes for children are scheduled at various times between the hours of 9:30 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5 pm on Saturday, and 1 – 5 pm on Sunday.
  • We currently offer a violin class for adults that meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Fees and Tuition

  • Registration is $50 per student.
  • Tuition is a flat fee of $125 per calendar month per student for the study of one instrument, either violin or piano.
  • The monthly $125 tuition payment enables the student to attend one assigned class per week, each of which is roughly one hour in duration.
  • Students who qualify, may take instruction for a second instrument at an additional tuition cost of $100 per month.
  • Adults or children who are members of the household of student enrolled at the Academy may qualify to enroll for instruction at the discounted rate $100 per month for each instrument studied.
  • Parents who wish to apply to have their children enrolled in the program and visit the Academy prior to enrollment need to schedule a visit to the Academy prior to enrollment.
